Assessment for Our 10 Day Weather Unit
At the end of the 10 day weather unit, the teacher will assess students' knowledge of materials covered through a large class Power Point activity.
This 2nd grade Power Point presentation offers a great wrap-up activity for the whole class to review weather material together. The teacher will go through each slide of the Power Point with the class. After the teacher reads each question aloud, students will write their multiple choice answer on a sheet of blank paper. Once all answers have been written down, the teacher will go over the Power Point slides aloud one more time.
When tthe teacher reads over each multiple choice answer, students will give a "thumbs-up" when their answer is called out. This type of assessment provides a teacher with an opportunity to find out exactly where students have met SOL objectives (or not) while still providing a game-like activity for the students to have fun reviewing what they've learned.
